Challenge:

Reddit, known for its distinctive voice and evolving identity, was undergoing two significant brand refreshes during my time as lead designer. The challenge was to continuously adapt to these updates while maintaining consistency across a wide range of creative deliverables — from internal merch drops to event graphics and experiential design. Each project required thoughtful execution to strike a balance between staying on-brand and introducing fresh, creative approaches.

Role:

As the lead designer for Reddit at Canary Marketing for two years, I oversaw all design-related outputs across digital, print, and product formats. I became deeply familiar with Reddit’s brand guidelines, voice, and evolving aesthetic, which allowed me to confidently stretch creative boundaries while upholding brand consistency. I collaborated with account managers, copywriters, production teams, and vendors to execute everything from initial concepts to final delivery.

Impact:

Through consistent, high-quality work, I helped reinforce Reddit’s internal and external brand presence, supporting team culture and event engagement through compelling visuals and design systems. I became a go-to creative partner for Reddit's teams, trusted for both strategic brand alignment and creative exploration. The designs I created became regularly worn, used, and displayed by Reddit employees — a strong testament to their resonance and success.
